Kobe Bryant’s Wife Vanessa Seeks Millions Against Wrongful Death

The Late NBA star Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa is seeking damage compensation as a part of her wrongful death lawsuit against the pilot’s estate and helicopter company. It is a part of the entire process of finding justice over the deaths of her daughter Gianna and husband Kobe. As per reports from The Blast, Vanessa says that she demands an amount that is multiple times more than the actual damage. It is because the actual damage has cost her to sacrifice hundreds of millions of future earnings. According to the court files, Vanessa Bryant is seeking economic as well as non-economic damage compensation.

Apart from that, her demands include punitive damages, prejudgment interest, and any other relief that the court counts as legit. The total amount of pf personal injury that the Plaintiff is seeking is TBD. It is because Kobe’s assumed future earnings that are now lost round up to more than hundreds of millions of dollars. Even though Kobe had already retired from basketball during the time of his death. It is also a fact that he would have worked in the business and entertainment industries earning whopping amounts of money.

Lawsuit filed by Kobe Bryant’s Wife Vanessa

The lawsuit filed by Vanessa Bryant includes an accusation against the late pilot of the plane Ara Zobayan. He is accused of reckless driving and carelessness amidst poor conditions of the weather. Besides, an accusation is also filed against the Island Express Helicopters Company. Charges of malic, fraud, and oppression have been brought against them on grounds of hiring Zobayan. The company hired him despite his negative records in his aviation career. There are proofs of Zobayan violating weather-related rules of flying back in the year 2015. So, ideally, none of the prestigious carrier companies should hire such a person.

Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna were two of the total of nine people who were on board the Sikorsky S-76B. It was the same helicopter that had Ara Zobayan of the Island Express Helicopters Company as the pilot. The horrific incident took place on January 26 in Calabasas, Calif. Unfortunately, none of the eight people including the driver could survive the dangerous plane crash. As a result, the world lost a man like Kobe Bryant. Besides, the family lost both him and the little girl, Gianna.

According to the reports issued in reciprocation by the Island Express Helicopter Company, they are not responsible for damages. They added that Kobe Bryant and everyone else on board the Sikorsky S-76B on January 26 was aware of the risks. Apart from Bryant’s, families of other passengers have also filed lawsuits. They are all trying to press charges against the helicopter company. Therefore, it is evident that the company is under a lot of pressure from all sides right now. Vanessa Bryant has recently filed another lawsuit against pictures clicked on the site of the plane crash.
