- LeBron James (2,549,693) and Kobe Bryant (2,456,224) lead their conferences.
- Allen Iverson was chosen to participate in his eleventh All-Star Game.
- Steve Nash and Tim Duncan took McGrady’s and Nowitzki’s starting spots in the West.
- David Lee (NY), Gerald Wallace (Cha), Deron Williams (Uta), Zach Randolph (Mem) and Chris Kaman (Lac) played as reserves despite not being listed in the Top 10 voting results for their positions.
- Dirk Nowitzki was selected as a starter because Kobe Bryant was injured.
- Joe Johnson was selected as a starter because Allen Iverson missed the game for personal reasons.
