INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS IN THE NBA ALL STAR GAME
- NBA rosters feature more than 100 international players, approximately 25 percent, but the NBA All-Star Game is very different.
- Just 22 international players out of more than 400 have been selected for the NBA All-Star Game, i.e., not even 5%.
- 17 countries have been represented. Serbia with 3 players. Germany and Spain with 2 players each.
- The list does not include the following players:
- Players born outside of the US that have US citizenship or players with dual citizenship
- Canadian players (since Canadian teams compete in the NBA)
- Players selected for the All-Star Game that missed the game due to injuries or other reasons (e.g., Kristaps Porzingis in 2018)
- In 2019, Nikola Vucevic (MNE) and Nikola Jokic (SER) have been added to the list.
