    The All-Star Weekend is back in Charlotte

    After 28 years, the NBA mid-season show event will finally be back in Charlotte. This is the second time for the city to host the NBA All-Star Weekend, after the event in 1991.

    With the event approaching fast, it’s time to make sure you get your tickets to be part of the festivities from February 15-17, 2019.

    NBA All-Star Event tickets on sale

    Good things first: tickets for some of the events went on sale today at NBAEvents.com. The bad thing is that, as anticipated, the tickets for some events sold out very quickly. Tickets went on sale for the following All-Star shows:

    • NBA All-Star Celebrity Game: Friday, February 15, 7:00 pm at the Bojangles’ Coliseum (tickets went fast and the event is sold out);
    • NBA Rising Stars Challenge: Friday, February 15, 9:00 pm at the Spectrum Center;
    • NBA All-Star Practice & Media Day, Saturday, February 16, 9:39 am at the Bojangles’ Coliseum (tickets went fast and the event is sold out).

    In addition, you can register for the free NBA All-Star at Epicentre, which is open from Friday, February 15 (12:00 pm) until Sunday, February 17 (7:00 pm) at Epicentre in uptown Charlotte. The NBA’s premiere fan destination during NBA All-Star will feature exclusive experiences showcasing the convergence of the NBA and pop culture through the art, fashion, music, technology and entertainment that surround today’s game. It’s free and open to the public.

    The All-Star Premium Ticket Package

    If you should have some pocket money to spend: the Premium Ticket Packages will go on sale soon. With this package, you get access to the weekend’s biggest events including the Rising Stars Challenge and the All-Star Saturday Night, and the 68th Annual NBA All-Star Game. Plus, you have the privilege to experience pre-game hospitality and exclusive meet and greets.

    Prices of the Premium Packages start at USD 1,299 for the Bronze K Premium Package and go up to USD 8,999 for the Gold A Premium Package.

The package adds another USD 1,460 to the costs per room (plus USD 1,560 for two persons), and includes transport to/from the hotel and arena.

    Without the budget to buy a Premium Package, it is going to be hard to grab a ticket for the NBA All-Star main events such as the Slam Dunk Contest, the Three-Point Contest, the Skills Challenge, and of course the All-Star Game 2019.

    Tickets for Hornets supporters

    Most of the tickets will be distributed to sponsors, media partners, NBA affiliates, businesses, and the Hornets. In order to give all the season pass holders a fair chance, the Hornets conducted a lottery for the tickets for the NBA All-Star Event 2019 in Charlotte.

    Stay tuned for more information about tickets available on the aftermarket. We will update this post with information regarding availability and pricing. Though, expect tickets to be expensive.
