On September 21, Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan announced that they would start a single car series team for the 2021 NASCAR Cup. They also confirmed that the first driver would be Bubba.

Michael Jordan posted that he grew up in North Carolina and would visit many races with parents and siblings. He was a fan of NASCAR ever since he was a child. He always wanted to have a racing team, and he is delighted to share it with his friend Hamlin. Jordan also said that Bubba driving for them is equally exciting. Additionally, he said that it is the best time to get black owners at the NASCAR as the industry struggles to become diverse.

Bubba was a part of team Richard Petty Motorsports, but left earlier in 2020, due to the noose scandal. The man said that this opportunity comes once-in-a-lifetime, and he didn’t want to let it go.

As per the latest reports, Denny is known to buy the charter from Germain Racing. Jordan is the principal owner, while Hamlin is a minority partner. Moreover, he will continue to drive as he already does for Joe Gibbs Racing. Wallace signed a multi-year deal and is gearing up for races.
