As an NBA team, there has been a huge amount of change for the line up as Orlando Magic as there have been players having several injuries as a whole. But with the most recent knee injury for Issacs, what is next for the team in the NBA? In this article, we will be looking into the 2020 season for Isaacs.
A Torn Knee For Jonathan Isaac
When suffering a torn knee at the beginning of the year, it was not looking promising for the team. As one of the best players in the squad at this time, he has continued to play Combo forward for the squad since being picked on the 6th draft in the NBA. During the game against the Washington Wizards at the beginning of the year, he sustained an injury whilst driving a lay-up. This was a huge problem for the team and saw him suspended indefinitely as a result.
This hyper-extension of course meant that he would be out of the league indefinitely until it was healed. This, of course, meant that a replacement was needed for the team to make sure that they have everything that they need. This saw the introduction of Jefferson onto the court throughout the remainder of the match. This bought about a shift in the game that saw them winning 122 – 101 at the end of the game. With many people looking at different sportsbooks options to place bets on their favourites for the league and repeated injury could be hurting their chances in the long term or having any form of confidence from the fans.
A Return To The League
Just 31- games later he made a return to the court against the Sacramento team, it was looking positive for the team. However, this was short-lived as Issacs saw himself suffering from yet another problem with the knee. In an attempt to get a hop step to the hoop, this saw a temporary end to his career right then and there. He was removed from the arena on a wheelchair and had someone else step in to take home yet another victory for the team with 132 – 116 to the Magic adding to another wave of victories for the team.
Another Injury To The Knee For Isaac
It was later announced that it was yet another knee injury for Issacs as he had torn his anterior cruciate ligament. This is another injury for the team that will see him out of action for several games until it heals. This means that there is an indefinite time frame on when the star player will be able to return to the court as he continues to work to his recovery.
The Future Of His Position On The Team
With several injuries under his belt already, several people are wondering whether or not he will be able to keep his place on the team. With a number of the games already being played without him could this be the end of his career or be an injury that sees him benched for a majority of the league moving forward. However, at the age of 22, he has a majority of his career ahead of him as a result making it stand out as a result.
With this in mind, the position at 6th in the table at this time, there is a potential for them to move further up the table at this time with or without Issacs playing in some of the games. But will they be the best of the best without their star player?
