All thanks to the novel coronavirus that the total income of the top hundred highest-paid athletes seems to have dropped. Well, this has happened for the first time in the last four years. Along with a total of $3.6 billion pre-tax income, the current list seems to be more versatile. By that, we mean that there are athletes from different regions of the world who play several different games. The biggest improvements in income ratings include that of super-athlete Roger Federer, who was at the 5th spot in the last year’s list. In the current chart of 2020, Federer leads the chart followed by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

It seems that baseball is one of those sports that is highly affected by the economic fallout due to the global pandemic. On the contrary, several basketball players have found spots in the current list of 2020’s highest-paid athletes around the world. LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry have all made to the top-10 list of the world’s highest-paid athletes of 2020. Unfortunately, Russell Westbrook missed the top-10 list by just one spot, and he stands at the eleventh with an income of $57 million. Next, we move on to the seventeenth and eighteenth spot. These are filled by James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo respectively. The football players on the list are exceeding most of the others.
