1. Shaquille O’Neal’s score history

Shaquille O’Neal is one of the all-time best NBA players and is constantly praised for his many accomplishments on the court. He is a four-time NBA champion and has won the NBA All-Stars no less than 15 times. I think it is fair to say that he has dominated a large part of this sport, but there is one thing he did not do so well. The Star player has only made a single 3-pointer in his career. He has attempted 22 three-pointers through his career, but no more than a single one converted. With that being said, he is still one of the best players to have ever touched a basketball.

2. Highs and lows

Basketball players are known for being tall, and it is undoubtedly a huge advantage on the court. However, one will always be the tallest player to exist, and one must be the shortest. What is interesting about this, is that those two players once played for the same team! Muggsy Bogues is the shortest person to play in the NBA, with his 5’3”. On the other side of the scale is Manute Bol at 7’7”, which is the tallest person to play in the NBA. They both played for the Washington Bullets in the 1987-1988 season.

3. A real mama’s boy

Kobe Bryant is another well-renowned basketball player, who has played for the Los Angeles Lakers after being the 13th pick in the 1996 NBA draft. He was first selected by Charlotte Hornet and got traded to the Lakers soon after. At the time of the draft, Kobe had not turned 18 and could therefore not sign the contract legally with the rules back then. This resulted in Kobe’s parents having to co-sign the NBA contract until he turned 18. This is probably the coolest contract they have signed to this day.

4. The ban on Air Jordan

37 years have passed by, but Air Jordans is still considered to be one of the best basketball shoes of all time. They were first created back in 1985 but are still worn by both basketball stars and sneaker fans to this day. While the shoes are really popular today, they did not have an easy start. The players on the court were expected to wear shoes that matched the team colors, but Jordans came in a black and red combination. Michael Jordan did not care about this however and continued to use them although he was fined $5000 each time he played a match with the shoes on.
